I don't want to work at all, for any amount of money. I hate obligating my time to things I don't enjoy.
Of course I still WILL, because I hate starving to death more. But it annoys me so much how much the professional world treats you like a pariah for considering a job as a purely transactional relationship.
I don't care about the company. I don't "want" to work there. They are offering money in exchange for doing things, and I am offering to do things in exchange for money, and that should be enough.
I actually feel like MOST people must feel this way, but everyone lies to their bosses/recruiters because everyone ELSE lies, and of course the company is going to pick the candidate who says they're "passionate about the company's mission" over the candidate who says they're not interested in overtime and they'll do whatever is the bare minimum requirement of work to not get fired.
