Why are you looking so hard for stuff outside of the main pair, there's enough for them alone to easily count as yuri subtext: they call each other lifelong partners, they intimately hold hands, fuss over each other, blush at each other, all the yuri imagery, etc...
It's not as blatant as in other series, but it's obviously there and intentionally so.
