Consoles these days are needlessly restricted gaming PCs where you're locked into a "walled garden." You pay a subscription to use your own internet, can't use the device for much else, can't upgrade or replace parts, the manufacture cheaped out on literally everything they could, you have to use specific peripherals, and in a few years your console and all its games will become obsolete and unsupported. The entire idea is retarded. You could get a cheap gaming PC or a Steamdeck and break even on cost after a few months or a handful of games, and a gaming PC is also a high end workstation for AV work, 3D modeling, CAD, programming, etc.
