Yeah. 1930s-40s were the peak of old Hollywood and an incredible era, even among depression and war they were making legendary films every year. 1950s-60s were the pinnacle of spectacle and extravaganza as Hollywood was pumping out massive epic movies to put television to shame, but it was unsustainable as studios were practically bankrupting themselves and young people stopped caring for cowboy movies, sword and sandal or biblical movies. All this had to give way to 70s nu-Hollywood and the new generations which totally changed cinema. The 80s were the start of the end, yeah it's a good era but it also sowed the seeds for modern Hollywood
