Piper should be my go-to option for a second team dps, right?

I intend to pull for Astra but if I fail her 50/50 I may not be able to get pity on time. What other characters should I be looking forward to pulling? Jufufu for YiXuan? If I understood correctly, getting yuzuha or Alice would be like putting the cart before the horse.
