Kris isn’t my body and they’re their own person. Ralsei/Susie/the rest aren’t my friends. Those are Kris’ friends and I’ve already agreed to accept everything that happens from now on.
It’s one of those angles that only works if (you) have a history with the characters that spans prior to the game’s starting point. But that’s the thing. (Our) experience of DR has been from Chapter 1 onward. We don’t have preexisting relationships, just an awareness of UT iterations of the cast which isn’t the same.
