Anime , video games, porn etc. are the effects of girls constantly rejecting guys who at some point just stop trying because they are just tired of being hurt over and over again. You know...men are human beings and every rejection has a psychological cost on them. Women may find the whole dating thing more like a game and having just fun but men are more serious by nature and failing on it actually damages them. A sane male person would rather do something else instead of spending his life trying against the odds and actually destroying his mental health. Simple as.
