I haven't seen it but I admit that I support it purely because of the wacky expression the characters are allowed to make. I feel like a few years ago it was said that female characters can't be shown as ugly so they aren't as expressive as males and many took that as cowardly. But then Turning Red came out and everyone basically went "NO NOT LIKE THAT." Seeing 3D emulate Cartoon/Anime styles of expression and veering away from that fucking Tangled/Frozen face that Disney popularized makes this all seem like a breath of fresh air.
Even if I think the premise is cringe, it's nice to see beautiful characters emote in wacky ways. Mitchells vs. The Machines had wacky faces but I wouldn't really describe any of those characters as "beautiful".
