After another minute of arguing, Deadhead finally gave up the rifle and got Ben’s sword as recompense. And it was a good thing too, because Shaggy was starting to get impatient.

“Everyone ready?” Louise asked.

She got a mix of nods and verbal confirmations, so she took that as a unanimous “yes”.

“Good. Allons-y!” she said, brandishing the Staff of Mercurial Form. It shifted into a heavy maul, which, judging by her expression, must not have been what she was going for.

Due to the sheer size of the giant robot duo, Shaggy’s portals were no longer a viable option for moving the team around. So, those with low mobility were placed on Mekara and Aegis’ shoulders. So, aside from Deadhead and Shaggy, you were all pretty much able to move around independently. And when you finally reached a street that was jam packed with zombies, only then did you get a chance to see what Kaiju King’s elite soldiers could do.

“Fire-in-the-hole!” Aegis shouted, before a crimson beam of energy erupted from his eyes and trailed up the street, obliterating anything in its path!

Harpy joined him, a ray of pure gamma energy bursting forth from her mouth and pulverizing any zombie unlucky enough to have been in her way. With just the two of them, the main street had almost been completely cleared out! Soon afterwards, however, more zombies flooded the street, having been drawn out due to all the commotion.

From your elevated position, you threw out a few flashbangs, leaving a good chunk of them either stunned or momentarily distracted. Deadhead took that opportunity to let loose with his LMG. A constant stream of plasma bolts erupted from the barrel, riddling the zombies’ bodies with holes. Every now and again, the gun would start to overheat, and Mekara would take over by providing an amount of raw firepower that was nothing short of oppressive. It was a target rich environment, and due to Ben boxing them in with well-placed lines of fire and tethering them together with his webs, there was little room for anything to escape their onslaught.

Ana sniped the stragglers from nearby, while Louise swooped down from the sky to clean up the zombies that were climbing up to get to you. She mainly used the Orichalcum sword, but would occasionally experiment with the shapeshifting weapon you’d lent her. She clearly wasn’t getting the weapons that she was trying for, but she was at least knowledgeable enough to use almost anything that was put into her hands.

James was switching between moving to protect you and Ana, and going back to check on Shaggy. The old black dog currently couldn't contribute much without getting in the way, but that didn't seem to bother him much.
