Half a dozen of students just got melted Joker style in a chemical plant
>Yesterday (23rd), six students from Northeastern University were visiting and learning about the flotation process at a beneficiation plant of China National Gold Group (02099) Inner Mongolia Mining Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China National Gold Group (600489). They fell into the flotation tank due to the detachment of the grid plate and eventually drowned. The direct senior of the deceased student revealed that "the flotation tank is filled with slurry, similar to a mudslide, and people cannot move after falling in." According to domestic media reports, a student majoring in mineral processing engineering said that the victim was a "junior undergraduate student" and his direct junior, and "four similar internships will be organized in the second, third and fourth years." The interviewed student said that he had been to the beneficiation plant where the accident occurred, "except for equipment maintenance, no employees were around the machines." He recalled that during the internship, "there were usually only 20 to 30 employees in the flotation area. During the internship visit, there were more students and teachers than employees in the flotation workshop." He mentioned that if 7 people stood on the grid plate, the grid plate might not be able to withstand it. He also said that the vertical height of the flotation tank is more than ten meters, and it is filled with slurry, "similar to a mudslide, and people who fall into it cannot move."
