It's crazy to think how Real Drive came out in 2008. It wasn't just a single fat character in one show, it was two chubby girls (one being the lead) and a couple other girls on the thicker side.
I remember it being hard to find good quality art of chubby girls drawn by Japanese artists back then, it wasn't until at least 5 years later where I found it suddenly becoming more popular and more accessible.
