Either the LINX thing like your /ck/ friend did, or like an electric pacemaker device they put on your esophagus that can control its opening and closure via small electric shock commands, or a similar device based on radio waves, or actual surgery where they wrap part of your upper stomach around your lower throat which somehow makes the esophagus tighter.
I'm definitely not doing the last one with the stomach wrapping thing because that's probably irreversible. The other three I don't like either but they are devices which you can just take out if you don't like it, though they'll charge you a lot of money for it.
