Almost all the raid bosses in the game (except the Decagammon raid bosses) are basically Gematria fucking around with the terror or sublime trying to comprehend it or replicate it. Although the terror can sometimes come into existence on its own, like Goz. Rumors circulate creating something like a manmade horror created from legends and rumors, a being created from people's fears.
