Tails weeped openly again one issue later while Sonic smugly got with Fiona at the end
Tails ran off weeping again in the Riders arc when Sonic rubbed it in his face that he's dating Fiona
KNUCKLES says "dude Tails is really sad about something" then Sonic replies "hnyeh hnyeh he's just mad that I got Fiona and he didn't, I don't care about that loser", after Tails had just given him a hoverboard as a gift.
Tails was openly depressed and weeping again when Fiona betrayed the team, even Amy saw this (though she didn't care because she only cares about Sonic)
at the end of the issue after the Slap, Tails is visibly weeping again and runs off to "g-go talk to my mom!" Sonic doesn't care because he's too busy letting Amy rub all over him. Tails could've ran off to kill himself at this point and Narcissistnic wouldn't care
Later after this in 175, Tails has sunk into such a deep depression that both Sally and Nicole comment on it out loud saying "Did something happen to Tails? He looks really depressed!" Amy and Knuckles notice it too. Only Rotor cares enough about Tails to ask what happened, and Tails says again about Fiona. Sonic doesn't care that Tails is clearly suicidal at this point.
Continues to next issue and so on.
Tails didn't hide his inner feelings and thoughts from him at all, Sonic KNEW. He gaslighted Tails because Sonic's a spoiled brat and a narcissist. Helping Tails wasn't the prerogative, getting his own ass out of hot water with gaslighting was. If Tails stayed just weeping to himself and cutting himself on his own time, Sonic would know and never care.
