Nieciecza is like 15km away from Tarnów (pop ~100k), but speedway is the most popular sport there, I think.
BBT's owner wanted to invest his money into Unia Tarnów first, but the town's magistrate tried to get a lot of extra concessions from him. So he went for his childhood club instead and lifted them all the way from A-Klasa (7th? tier) to the top flight. He still has to run some of the youth teams in Tarnów, since there aren't enough kids living around Nieciecza to satisfy Ekstraklasa's demands regarding club academies.
