The house layout is different looking. It's been a while since I messed with it, but I tried putting my apartment into a house years ago (by just changing the selected room layout in mp) and it had everything set up in weird places and looked awkward af. Do not take this with total certainty though, as again this was years ago and things probably changed...

Actually I still have MP on my pc. I loaded up an apartment that I had saved, and then swapped to a house, and it just dumped all the apartment stuff on the first floor. I'm assuming by "move all items to a house," you meant within the software and not the actual game itself, right?
