Ignoring your other valid points about magna grids, I did want to address this one to say that you can still go f2p with supplemental pieces, but that they're always going to be worse than PnS and that's why you see PnS. If it's not explicitly boosted by a primal or magna summon, expect to see the gacha equivalent in the grid rec over the f2p version.
