look. im not that old ok, but when I worked at a grocery store after high school in the 90s there was a dead rat on the shelf behind some bankrupt del monte cans and I had to dispose of it. I took lysol off the shelf and firebombed it before getting near it.
evey one freaked out of the rats virus (we called it pocahontas virus but in hindsight we might have been being racist but it was mostly on the reservations)
