The station is unremarkable. However, the silence is anything but. You remember what left an impression on you now. It's the most quiet the world can get while outside a partition. The scenery may be severely lacking, but the atmosphere is powerful and sublime. There are no vehicles, no sounds of Digimon passing overhead, minimal chirping servitors, and no crowds moving omnidirectionally. Phascomon picks up on it too.

"Wow. It's quiet."

"Right? Feels like you can actually think."

You move past the folks who are returning from their own camping trips. The tent package is clutched under your arm, and you deftly dodge a group of friends who are spreading out and blocking the entire path. The campgrounds stretch out far ahead, with fewer and fewer servitors visible in the distance. Most of them are clustered around the train station and the ranger outpost, ready to zip out and attend to people when needed.

An interface pops in front of you when you enter the campgrounds, providing a tutorial on how to choose your plot and reserve your space. You decide to move as far in as you're comfortable being, so that Phascomon can hololize in physical space. You feel secure enough after about twenty minutes of walking, when you've stopped seeing people.

"Hololize."

Phascomon sets foot on the artificial ground. He frowns immediately as he feels the texture of the grass.

"Ew. It's all gritty to walk on. The Digivice had better grass."

"It's pretty bad, isn't it? But look on the bright side. We're all alone out here. Nobody to bug us or chase us down for today, we'd see them coming a mile away."

You motion to the flat world around you. This far out, trees have started appearing. There are also just three types, but it's less disconcerting than the grass since they're not tessellated with one another. The environment is nothing impressive, but like your stargazing session atop the train roof, the night sky doesn't look so hideous out here.

"Hey, I can't see the tower from here. We're too far out!"

"Right? And look at the datastreams. All the different colors going across the sky."

"I guess it's pretty nice. Hey, set up a fire, why don't you? I remember that page, I want the campsite to look just like it!"

He's read your mind. You reserve the chunk beneath your feet and begin placing your furniture, customizing the campsite that you'll be staying in.
