>Also like, you can first try, very little in ER is unreactable
Absolutely not. ER throws the rules of animation out of the window. When an enemy starts an animation, tehre is absolutely no way to tell if it will follow conventional rules of animation if the enemy will delay the attack an arbitrary amount or even worse, the attack will come out faster than expected. You also can't react to most attack strings, some attacks will have unintuitive lingering hitboxes as well.
You did not dodge every attack of every boss on your first try. No one does that because the animations are not designed for you to reasonably react to them on a first try. It's only on repeated fights that you are matching the animation with a LEARNED timing to be able to dodge it correctly, you aren't timing your dodge with when you reasonably believe the animation to be hit. You also get the occasional shitbags like this that clip through the wall.
