I was thinking about Luke the beloved physician recently.
Apparently he never actually knew Jesus and did not perform any miracles or tell us of any great things he did.
But without him, we would not have had the Gospel of Luke, or Acts. And he was the only friend to stay with and care for the Apostle Paul at his darkest hours.
Millions of people would know of the Power of God through his life of accurately and excellently chronicling the lives and struggles and journeys of the Early Saints.
Therefore becoming one himself.
We know more about him and his life than some of the actual apostles of Jesus.
Yet how many Christians want to be a Luke instead of a Paul.
There are no shortage of evangelists and forums to argue the gospel or doctrines of religions.
Evangelism was not directly what the nobody story is about. At least not in the traditional sense of evangelism.
I think it’s amazing all the goal post shifting and flip flopping narratives about the nobody.
Too humble, then too prideful.
What a loser has no money, asks for help, oh look he’s using God to try to get money.
Truly Jesus warned us. And nothing has changed 2000 years later.
16 “To what can I compare this generation? They are like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling out to others:
17 “‘We played the pipe for you,
and you did not dance;
we sang a dirge,
and you did not mourn.’
18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.
’ 19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is proved right by her deeds.”
If pride goeth before the fall should Trump not feel safe to go outside in a storm?
Or is it confidence when it’s someone rich and powerful?
Fools. Judge with righteous judgement.
