Made some progress last night, lads.
Finally managed to luck into a random expedition team destined to challenge the dreaded Akalath Quarantine, deep in the heart of Exodor. A near-mandatory foray for anyone wanting to further hone both their skills and equipment alike, as clearing-out that wretched place grants access to the finest forge in the realm.
In fact, you'll need to sweep the Quarantine Zone twice-over for the task, after contending with a bit of red tape during the debriefing period on your first go-around. Glad someone told me that ahead of time, or else I would've been turned away at the forge's gates.
It honestly seems like the first boss of AQ is more threatening than the second one, at least from the (admittedly very limited) time I've spent in that specific Dungeon so far. We made surprisingly short work of the redux of the big werewolf from RR without too much issue, yet the guardian leading up to him certainly put my healing to work.
The constant left/right swipe AoEs with his huge swords must make life hell for melee classes. Although much as with many encounters in this title, I'd imagine it gets more bearable with practice and memorization for which animation tells correspond to which attacks.
But yeah! Finally have a full set of +15 Kaia on me, feels good.
Of course, any old hand at this title knows that's only just the beginning of ones' endless ascent up the eternal gear climb. Still a notable milestone all the same.

'Eyy, no problem! Good seeing a new face around the server, even if Classic is still your main go-to for getting your TERA fix.
I'd certainly have my own hands full attempting to dabble in two servers at once as well, so props for giving Starscape a shot. The pace of play between Classic (v32) and virtually any Post-Apex server (v100) is night-and-day, so consider Starscape to be like TERA running at 2x speed. It's pretty neat.
