I think she just wanted out there and then for whatever reason. Obviously it was rushed. Three graduations overlapped at the same time. Plus the Rift of the Necrodancer DLC including Gura just released this month. If the plan was to announce her graduation in early July, all the timelines align perfectly. She'll have done ENReco2, her birthday, Necrodancer DLC release wouldn't be awkward, and her membership closes in August.
