When it comes to anime adaptations, I feel like the episodic mysteries and comedy fanservice tend to translate well while longer serious story arcs often become a chore to watch, especially in a weekly format. I used to hope the anime would reach the Western Capital 2 arc but now I realize that would probably be a disaster. That arc is even more of a clusterfuck and more dragged out than the Shi clan arc, it would be so exhausting to follow in anime. In contrast, the in-between LNs with more less complicated plot like LN5 to 8 will probably make for better anime experience.
