I got curious so I looked it up. They apparently use metric exclusively now but at the time of the moon landing (1969, before this policy) it might've actually been either freedom units or a mix of both.

Gonna be real I thought it was metric, too. Anyways the reason nobody else has gone to the moon is because it's expensive as fuck and we got wars to fight
