There is no (false) jewish messiah coming though, or what Scofield futurists call "the antichrist". It's just not in the Scripture, the Bible talks of "many antichrists" and it being the last time even when the epistles of John were written. So any time you hear someone say something to the effect that we're just now entering the last time or the end days, they don't really know what they're talking about.
The true messiah, savior of all men specially of them that believe, already came. Jesus said the world would be like the days of Lot or Noah, and he specified that people were living relatively normal lives, buying and selling, planting fields, marrying; he didn't say there would be some time period of signs.
There's a reason Jesus said to such people they didn't even know what they were worshipping (and he said that to descendants of Israel, the Northern Tribes, who became known as Samaritans after their capitol city).
