I mean nature can pretty and serene at times, but there is a apex predator in form of a lion, a bear, or a tiger, or a human. We hunt hogs with helicopters, imagine that for the pig, if it could understand just what that thing is, it would have nightmares about it. Most of us will consider humanity not the apex of reality, so naturally there has to be something better than us, including hunting?

Well isn't that in the name? But anyway, like 99% of people have zero experience with the spiritual, let alone even establishing a relationship with a spirit. I think it's mostly because of biological and psychology behaviors, we're conditioned to fear and detect things that are trying to mimic us.
