So I had time and will to do some more reading of the Dragon Ball manga. One thing that annoyed me about the Omnidock decision was that Death Battle took this scene to mean that Super Saiyan was a higher strain upon one's stamina.
Here's the manga scene it is from and I found the original Japanese manga version of the text on bookwalker.jp.
Death Battle read 'restless feelin' as indicative of a higher stamina strain, but alternate translations of the phrase are more about uneasiness. So that to me reads more as the bloodlust/emotional turmoil that the form requires when untrained.
At the same time, I do understand that Nolan has a superior operating stamina with his multiweek intergalactic travel, so I don't want to dispute that (though from what we see of Viltrumites in high tension combat, that stamina store isn't nearly as deep).
