I guess nugus (lesser known groups) would be the closest thing to “alt”. Keep in mind that these groups are usually short lived, put out little content and sometimes they just disappear and you never hear from them again. I wouldn't recommend following one of those unless you want to get your heart broken. The smart and enjoyable option is to follow a group that has recently debuted (so there's not much lore and content to catch up with and you can just look forward to their next comeback) and has a modicum of success (so they don't get dungeoned after releasing 2 songs). You should like the girls and the music, although you never know 100% what the future will bring in that aspect.
