> Or do you think you are all powerful and can control the entire world with your mind, and thus you don't need to "watch" the news because you "make" the news instead?

> what's wrong with being entertained [via surrogate/fake activities, aka. media]
Spoken like a true addict justifying the habit. Still, there is value in folly, it is a necessary step toward wisdom. Full speed ahead, mate.

> control always comes from a fear mindset
This is not fear, it is creative discipline. Not passivity or withdrawal, but selective attention. Subconscious creation depends on filtering what enters. You focus on the word “thought,” so lets shift: your ideas and emotions shape your life. Feeding your mind mass media (mostly lack, anxiety, and division) is planting seeds you will later harvest. Even pressing “play” is an act of lack, begging for breadcrumbs, signaling that you need something external, that you live in scarcity.
Your logic amounts to:
> Fearing fear creates more fear - so don’t be too careful, just relax and let everything in.
This is the same trap as "tolerate everything", which quickly becomes tolerating yourself out of existence. It is spiritual gaslighting, disguised as “balance”.
You are not being balanced - you are being passive. You are not transcending fear, you are surrendering your creative authority. Conscious creation is a discipline rooted in deciding what enters your awareness and, by extension, what shapes your reality.
> Philippians 4:8
> “Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
