Protests can be effective but they have to have a goal. The left in the US has no unifying goal here.
Nobody, not even the protesters, are 100% sure why they are there in the first place.
It is a hodge podge of issues
>Trump's win (seems to be the overriding issue)
>ICE
>Israel/Palestine
>LGBT issues
>Sexism
>Abortion
>Police brutality
They also aren't proposing reasonable solutions that are popular. ICE raids could be negotiated with the public but they are very popular >70% of people support ICE raids. Trump is staying in office he won both the popular and electoral college votes. Israel/Palestine seems to have fizzled out as an issue since Israel attacked Iran and nobody likes Iran. LGBT issues are dead. Abortion has mostly gone back to being a state issue. Police brutality activists got what they wanted (bodycams).

They don't really seem to have a reason to be there or a reasonable solution to their grievances.
