USSR had inferior consumer goods and they were "happy" about it. joking.

people tried to move out of the USSR and not into the USSR because it was so "great" there.

former USSR states are poorer today still because the USSR was so "great"

birthrates are low in north korea and china.... cuba is shrinking

none of this looks very good...
