After learning about Blake, I can't help but notice several striking similarities to Chris Chan. This isn't to imply that Chris had the same artistic merit as Blake, but rather, there seems to be a similarity of metaphysics and spirituality. Chris also had quasi-spiritual experiences at a young age, and he also found himself writing vast "mythologies" (even if they were all Nintendo-Sega knockoffs). Furthermore, he always seemed to assign an ontological reality to imaginary beings, and in recent years, this has evolved into his theories of the dimensional merge. However, there does seem to be one major difference between Blake and Chris: while Blake seemed to maintain his devotion to God, Chris has repeatedly descended to idolatry of his characters (from the very beginning, think "God-Bear") and eventually himself. This, alongside his other wicked works, suggest to me that his mysticism put him into contact with several malevolent entities, particularly one under the guise of Sonichu.
My basic theory is this: Blake was right in holding that mankind possessed poetic character that allows for perception of supernatural entities, and Chris then necessarily possessed that character. However, in a secular era where religious mysticism is discouraged, Chris's mysticism was confined to children's media, opening himself up to several demons, particularly one which came under the guise of Sonichu. While his writings and religious thoughts did reveal the ontological reality of the imagination that Blake once found, his worship of these malevolent entities drove him towards a life of horrific actions.
