I dont doubt that they're profitable, they keep making them after all. But you have to ask yourself: this is a 500+ staff company, even after the layoffs. Across several buildings, and s majority living in the UK, an expensive country.
They cannot survive on DLCs indefinitely, especially when the most expensive of those dont even charge 30 bucks.
And further, SEGA is not gonna be content with mere survival. They want profits, big profits.
IMO its also worth remembering that, if the recent sales leak is accurate, the total war fanbase is surprisingly small given the size of CA (over 800 until the hyenas fiasco, and still in the hundreds today.) Like, even 3K was like 3 million. Waehammer 3 is 2 million. Both over several years. This is not bad, but not overly impressive either.
