One of the core Western values is democracy, or leaders elected by the population at large, and that's become a nightmare. Millions of sociopaths spend all day bullshitting people so they vote for sociopaths. Promoting democracy only works if people would rather live in countries that are democratic, and most of those are becoming shit because of our leadership.

Why the hell would I want to protect democracy?
