It was a bit sad like how he couldn't control his emotions and ended up breaking up with the chick. It's exactly how a bloke like that would act. No fucking decorum and yeah trying to raise a kid at the same time. It's not a masterpiece but it's very good for an Australian TV show and I think it would be a classic if it was on a free to air.
