This for me. I come from a family of bad alcoholics. I luckily never ran into issues like DUI's and arrests for assault. I just was able to drink a lot every day, still hold down a good professional job (although I think it affect my promotional ability). But damn if it didn't hurt my weight, mood, smarts, and overall health. I had quit like 2 years ago for about 6 months and thought that I wouldn't let a stupid object beat me, so I started to allow a couple drinks when eating out and special occasions, which just turned into full blown alcoholism again for another year and a half. I'm back to cold turkey again, and haven't had a drink for the past month. I don't think I'm going to fall into that trap again, I'm just going to stay 100% sober. No other drugs either. Maybe the extremely rare weed, but I've never been a weed fan anyway.
