I like both for different reasons. 40k is cool because there's so much in universe stuff to pull inspiration from. There's tonnes of subfactions, all of which are really well fleshed out. Aos is fun because it's so open ended. There's a lot less established lore, so there's a lot more room to have something totally unique. You can make a really interesting group of dudes that aren't ever going to rub someone the wrong way.
