I'm a fat fuck. I reduced my diet to 1700kcal, which has me losing 1kg of weight every week. I'm running & lifting. My bodybuilder buddy says I should only be at a calorie defecit of -500, rather than the -1400 I'm currently on AND that I'll actually build muscle that way because of newbie gains. Any truth to that?
