Ancient Greece was just fe1. hence the coliseums, and Greco-Roman name references ("Mars"), and pantsless designs like picrel. there were still a few anachronistic elements though like the big defensive castles and arguably some of the armor designs even though those are just pure fantasy.

when fe1 got remade into fe3, everyone's designs got switched out for what is IMO the style from the 1990 Lodoss OVA. no more pantsless dudes, lots of long flowing capes. fringed tunics. headbands all over the place
