"What about that Digivolution you did? What happened with Mekanorimon?"
"That's another one of my secrets. I thought it would be best if you didn't rely on it, and I didn't expect you to unlock his Champion stage so fast. It has to do with the Digicore."
"What about it?"
"Every Digimon's body is the expression of their internal Digicore data. Meet the correct requirements, and it self-corrects to form the shape of an individual Digimon species. By scanning the core, something we seldom get a chance to do, we can identify the core expression needed for a specific Digivolution. It's what I refer to as Digi-DNA."
"Oh, so that's what you did! You just copied it directly?"
"Normally, it's not so simple. If somebody wants to Digivolve their little friend into a specific form, they'll need it to sit still for as long as it takes. And a wild Digimon isn't going to do that. Nah, usually they end up fighting the same one over and over, to get fragments of data from an undamaged body. Do it enough times, and they get a viable Digi-DNA sample. Just like that." He snaps his fingers.
That's the second question explained. You still have one more big and pressing one. BlackAgumon is a missing link here. Phascomon's back-and-forth can be explained by your own connection. Kokuwamon's own bond with Doc does the same. But who does that one have?
Before you start asking him about that, you think about some other questions you might have for him.
