If anyone else is interested in wildcards I use https://github.com/adieyal/sd-dynamic-prompts . It lets you pull lines from text files like the one in >>8664298 and insert them into a prompt. So if you had a list of characters in one file and a list of clothing in another you could mix and match them in any combination!
And there's a bunch of other syntax for switching between different options in prompts and choosing numbers of things from lists and such. It's quite a versatile extension!
