well, i did some practice. hand is sore. played the first song i learned, very simple, but i did it from memory and by ear so i'm pretty proud of myself, and it's the first time in a long time i've been at the keys. might do some real work later too. want to encourage people to try music, it does feel so good to make harmony for yourself, especially on a real piano, feel the vibrations as the hammer hits the strings, it's too early still for me to be doing that, want to be courteous to the neighbors, but later today i''ll play it. you've inspired me again babe, and i wanna thank you for that. come into the thread and say hello, or at least take a bow for that beautiful performance, supposing it was you. it will stop me from frantically stalking you all day, and it will make me feel so good. i'm not going to leave you alone in that dark place any longer, not until you're committed to being the kind woman i know you can be, and by then i don't think you'll want to go there. love you.

this was my favorite song to play. in his last days my dad encouraged me to keep at the piano, and in the days after his death i practiced this song so much, kept me from crying nonstop. memorized it, i played it so well, that's what i'll be getting back to later today.
