I figured some of you /fat/ties would be interested, I just read up on MET (metabolic equivalent of tasks) which is the metric most fitness apps without a tracker (and probably most with too) use to determine kcals burned.
It's basically just
kcal = MET*kg*h
It's obviously a crude metric, but whenever I hear anons ask "Should I do exercise X instead of Y, the MET can give you a relative ballpark for how good for burning kcals it is.
