That sounds interesting lol. What you don't like, however, is that she never grows a spine? Honestly, I think that type of topic is extremely subjective. I, for instance, don't really care about that (and even then, I can end up liking characters like that depending on how they play out), but many people do so, kinda like with Shinji.
And things like that are why I don't consider neither "good writing" nor "bad writing" a concise form of critisism, as they cover a fuck ton of things that end up being completely subjective. That's a different topic however.

Uma is great. S2 is so far my favorite series of the decade (closely followed by these two), RTTT is great, and the movie is amazing even if it decays a bit after Tachyon's hiatus. CinGray has been really good so far too, and I think it'll end up in my top 3 of the year.
