General opinion I've heard is that the newer gen games' OSTs are lacking compared to older stuff, but I kind of disagree. While personally IN and UFO are the peak of the series in terms of quantity of quality tracks for me, each game has at least some memorable and good tracks that resonate with you. Zun starts adding guitar riffs into his tracks with DDC onwards, if you're into that.
Like the other anon said, try to refrain from spoiling yourself on the OSTs. While the music is great standalone, what really makes it shine is when it's tied to a specific gameplay moment, as Zun has the great habit of intentionally syncing gameplay of stages to specific sections of the music. They elevate the games from something just good into a truly unforgettable experience.
