This is basically exploration in Natlan, whereas my most enjoyable moments in Genshin were slowly exploring the Chasm, Enka, GAA2 or the first desert.
In Natlan, they tried to appeal to people who didn't want to play the game anymore, betraying to some degree those who did. The railroading, primogem bribes for exploration and quests, and the teleporters to unexplored areas so as to avoid walking there (which, though they first appeared in Fontaine, far increased in Natlan) are all proof enough.
Overall, they wasted some beautiful landscapes on mediocre exploration because they don't have the drive to make it truly interesting as they used to. It's a quick and cheap affair of gathering primogems in select parts of criminally underused maps. Natlan is the region equivalent of a prostitute whom you pay for a quick nut.
