I think you're underselling the return a bit, but I am very bullish on Kyle Harrison, plus Tibbs was their first round pick last year and a top 5 prospect in their system, and Devers was being overpaid as he's really just a DH.
Don't blame you for being mad though, the situation could have definitely been handled better all around.
