Yes, when I was around 9 or 10 I had a dream about Tikal from Sonic the Hedgehog and for like 4 or 5 years I was in love with her. This was before social media so thankfully my autism was contained by I had my own little headcanon about living in the ancient world alongside her and helping defend against her father who wanted to steal the emeralds. It only stopped once my overall interest in Sonic media died down and I moved onto other animes, at that point there was no specific obsession but I started developing more sexual attraction to characters and got a gf soon after.
