Simple as. They are serious dicks in P4 though. If you get the ambush, they usually won't flee the first turn or two, especially if you lower their stats. They usually won't immediately flee with lowered evasion, and may even spend their turn to up their evasion again instead of attacking you. Which can give you around two full turns to attack them all out without much retaliation. Get the crit, 1 More, drop them all, AOA. Easy peasy.
Eventually, you'll be shitting on the Golden Hands so effortlessly you'll barely remember how frustrating they used to be.
